I want to run away to Sweden and work at this screenprint atelier. Right now it is kind of on my wish list for things to do with my life. I cannot wait until I have my own studio space, a (semi) permanent place with enough room for my sewing machine, a dress form or two, some cutting/printing tables, loom, screen storage space, and plenty of shelves for all my supplies contained in recycled glass jars - I'll have to learn how to get the korma sauce smell out of them first :-P. OH and windows. Must have windows.
Today I bought a copy of Paris: Made By Hand. I went into the bookstore to buy some postcards and I saw the book and caved and coughed up the money, and I am glad. Such beautiful pictures of beautiful wares, such inspiring ateliers. Makes me nostalgic for Paris (and makes me realize truly how superficial my visit was, not visiting all these wonderful little crannies and nooks of creativity in a city already dripping with artistic juices, stuffed with the energy of centuries of artists).
Now I should go to sleep so I can dream about this workshop of my own.
